Powering the new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine dubbed LT7. This beast of a motor cranks out 1,064 horsepower and 828 lb-ft (1,123 nm) of peak output. It comes mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. GM estimates the new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 to hit a top speed of 215 mph. They also mention a mind-blowing estimated sub-10-second quarter-mile time. However, unlike the C7 ZR1, there is no news about the availability of a manual transmission. The last generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 was a 755-HP supercharged beast. Reaching 60 mph speeds only took 3.0 seconds, and it had a top speed limit of 212 mph. The latest gen Chevy Corvette Stingray base model has topped this number by hitting 60 mph in 2.8 seconds. The 670-hp 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 has further uplifted this figure to 2.6 seconds. The Z06 can also rocket through the quarter-mile mark in 10.5 seconds. The new ZR1 produces 309 horses over its predecessor and 394 horses over the current-gen Z06. Hence, we expect the range-topping new Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 to exceed these numbers. We anticipate a 0-60 time of around 2.3 seconds. 2025 Corvette ZR1's Design: Dapper Aesthetics And Pheonominal Downforce Chevy designed the new ZR1 giving paramount importance to downforce and aerodynamics. It starts with the front end. Air gets channeled through the front grille into the intercooler heat exchanger. It then gets pushed out via the proprietary flow-through hood. GM will build it at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant in Kentucky. As for pricing, Chevy says more details will come closer to production.
