Styled to Perfection (By the Man Himself) The Huayra Codalunga Speedster was conceived by Horacio Pagani who wanted to create a hypercar that took inspiration from the past. It’s long-tail not only reduces drag but is inspired by long-tailed racing prototypes, with a heavy focus on clean lines, visual harmony, and seamless surfaces. The Gull-wing doors so iconic to the Standard Condalunga are gone and in their place, far more elegant conventional doors. At the front, the headlights are subtly integrated the bumper includes a finely tuned splitter. The polycarbonate hardtop can be removed for a full-speedster experience, or reattached for seamless airflow. CFD-optimised curves, hidden NACA ducts and a drag-conscious diffuser all assist in maximum airflow. All Condalunga Speedsters will be designed through a close collaboration between Pagani and its clients. An Interior Designed Like Art Even more special than the exterior of this car is the interior. There’s hand-stitched leather, milled aluminium, and polished mahogany accents as a call back to the good-old motorsport days. Speaking of old-school, the gear knob and steering wheel merge carbon-fibre, wood and aluminium to create an old-school racing feel. But the best part of the interior is the embroidery, which was developed exclusively for the Speedster. This fabric is inspired by Pagani’s signature four-exhaust motif and is embellished everywhere from the seats, doors, and console. Each section features over 450,000 stitches, all of course done by hand. Nothing less to be expected from Pagani of course. How Special is the Combination of a V12 with a Manual? As with all Huayras, the Condalunga Speedster is fitted a bespoke 6.0l twin-turbo V12 that has been specially developed by AMG. The result is an immense 864 horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque. Depending on whether you choose the seven-speed automatic manual or a full manual 0-62mph takes either 2.8 or 3.1 seconds, and the top speed is 217mph. The whole car is constructed of a blend of both Carbon-Fibre and Carbo-Titanium with a monocoque chassis making it rigid and light. The suspension includes aluminium double wishbones with active dampers and variable spring rates. Couple this to the bespoke Pirelli Trofeo R tyres and this car certainly corners with the grip and delicacy of a true old-school racer.
