Porsche is making the Taycan faster, safer, and better equipped for 2025. The biggest change is a bigger battery—standard on every model. All Taycans now come with the 105kWh Performance Battery Plus. That means more range, but Porsche hasn't shared the numbers yet. The update also brings new safety features and redesigned alloy wheels. Porsche says the upgrades add up to £8,000 in extra value. Taycan Gets Bigger Battery, More Range The 105kWh Performance Battery Plus replaces the smaller 89kWh battery as standard on every model. That means 50 extra miles of range for the entry-level Taycan, pushing it up to 421 miles on a full charge. The bigger battery was a £4,454 option before—now, it’s included. Adaptive cruise control and lane change assist are now standard across the range. The base Taycan also gets 19-inch Taycan S Aero alloy wheels, while the GTS and Turbo models gain rear-axle steering and Power Steering Plus—features that used to cost buyers an extra £3,600. Despite all these upgrades, the Taycan still starts at £88,200. Porsche says the new features add up to £8,000 in extra value, but that depends on how you look at it. Meanwhile, the Taycan 4S new interior options include ‘Pepita’ and ‘Race Tex’ upholstery. And if you’re into the off-road-ready Cross Turismo, there’s good news—the Offroad Design Package is now standard. Smarter Tech and Richer Audio for Porsche Porsche is also giving its infotainment system a major refresh. The latest Porsche Communication Management (PCM) update makes the interface faster and more responsive while adding support for more third-party apps. A new Porsche App Centre makes downloading and installing apps easier, giving drivers more customization right from the dashboard. The 911, Taycan, Panamera, and Cayenne all get the new PCM system, more computing power and built-in Amazon Alexa voice control. The sound system is getting an upgrade, too. Porsche models with Bose and Burmester audio setups now support Dolby Atmos. Whether you're blasting music or fine-tuning a playlist, the Taycan, Panamera, and 911 GTS now offer a next-level audio experience. The Panamera and 911 GTS are getting more standard features. The Bose sound system is now included, and Panamera buyers get even more: Extra airbags for rear passengers A 360-degree parking camera Soft-close doors for a premium feel A heated steering wheel for cold mornings For the Panamera Turbo, noise-insulating glass now comes standard, reducing wind and road noise inside the cabin.
