Aston Martin is exploring the idea of a rugged off-road vehicle. It might be similar to the Mercedes-Benz G-Class and Land Rover Defender. This news comes from Autocar, which reports that Aston Martin is reviewing design proposals. Yet, the company hasn't decided to start production. This new SUV would be Aston Martin's second, after the DBX. They plan to make about 2,500 of these vehicles. This number is less than the DBX, which sells over 3,000 units each year. The goal is to make this SUV more exclusive. The project has a catchy name, "Project Rambo." This name reminds people of the Lamborghini LM002, another tough SUV. "Project Rambo" aims to be strong off-road and quick on the road. It might share its platform with the DBX. This means it could use the Mercedes-AMG 4.0-liter V-8 engine from the DBX. This engine also powers the AMG G 63. In that model, it delivers 577 hp and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.2 seconds. Aston Martin is busy with other new models too. Later this year, they will unveil a successor to the DBS. This car will have a V-12 engine. They are also launching the Valhalla, a mid-engine car. It uses the same 4.0-liter V-8 but as part of a plug-in hybrid system. The company's first electric vehicle (EV) will come out in 2026. This launch was delayed by a year. Aston Martin thinks demand for electric cars has gone down. They have four EVs planned and a new EV platform. But the lower interest in EVs might make them focus more on combustion models like this off-roader. Source: Autocar
