Cadillac recently unveiled the Sollei concept, a bespoke all-electric 4-seater convertible. They call it a 2+2 convertible, but the Sollei has a large footprint. It is more than roomy-enough to treat the rear passengers with ultimate luxury. Credit goes to the base platform, which seemingly is the Cadillac Celestiq. The Celestiq is Cadillac's Rolls-Royce competitor. It is a built-to-order, hand-crafted ultra-luxury electric sedan. The Cadillac Sollei Concept is a more flamboyant reimagination of the Celestiq. The Cadillac Sollei Concept Is Designed As A Celestial Automotive Entity The Cadillac Sollei Concept flaunts an elegant, elongated body and wide stance. The front end of the car is unmistakably borrowed from the Celestiq. The side profile also has a similar proportion. It is graced by a set of sparkling 23-inch silver wheels. But the Sollei Concept looks more suave and sophisticated. The single doors are super long, making ingress and egress an easy affair. Sheathing the exterior is an exquisite paint finish, dubbed “Manila Cream.” This color was originally used on Cadillacs in the late fifties. This rejuvenated shade has been hand-painted onto the Sollei Concept. The interior of the Cadillac Sollei Concept draws inspiration from the sun. Sun-themed features are plenty inside the cabin. For starters, the convertible roof is named “Daybreak” as it lets the sunlight into the cabin. The Nappa leather upholstery flaunts a pink iridescent pigment. This results in a color-changing sunrise effect. The same pigment adorns the beverage chiller placed between the rear seats. The sun theme continues with the “Aurora” tint on the metal-finished interior elements. These components color-shift to represent the phenomenon of solar winds. Cadillac unveiled the Sollei Concept at the Cadillac House. It is a state-of-the-art facility located at Vanderbilt, in Warren, Michigan. The Cadillac Sollei Concept is an ethereal beauty. It flaunts the true essence of an ultra-luxury convertible. It is the veritable successor to the iconic Cadillac roadsters of a bygone era. If put into production, the Sollei might rule a segment of its own. There are many opulent convertibles offered by prominent luxury automakers.
