The Fourth-Generation Continental GTC The fourth-generation Bentley Continental GTC Speed has made quite an impact since its release last year. For the first time ever, this 21-year-old design features many changes that were never before on any previous Continental. Its styling, for instance, abandons the traditional dual headlight look Bentley is known for in favour of a sleek, Batur-inspired design. Under the bonnet is where the changes really matter. Gone is the iconic 6.0L Twin-Turbo W12 and instead a new unit Bentley calls the Ultra Performance Hybrid system. However, the top speed is limited to just 177mph, significantly slower than the hardtop’s 208mph. Supposedly, this is because going convertible increases drag on the car, and the all-new hybrid setup has to work harder to achieve the same performance. But let’s be honest, a car like this is never going to be driven to the limits, especially given its cost of nearly $300,000. That being said, the Continental makes up for it with probably the best interior of any production car. With a staggering 46 billion configuration options all to make this car that much more special. Since 2001, they have made it their mission to raise funds to help underprivileged and at-risk children in Collier County. The festival features celebrity chef-hosted dinners, wine tastings, and a high-profile auction that combines luxury travel experiences with rare wines. Their most recent auction just last week was a success, generating over $33 million in revenue. Of course, there were many exciting packages sold at auction. The Bespoke Continental Sold This particular Continental GTC Speed was crafted by Mulliner in collaboration with Bentley Naples. Its exterior boasts striking Damson exterior paint contrasting beautifully with a Dark Grey Metallic roof. Its interior though is a true work of art featuring White and Damson hides, accented by silver piping. In addition, this Speed features several personalised touches by Mulliner including piano white and Damson-painted veneers, Naples Winter Wine Festival treadplates, LED welcome lights, and a Moonbeam-painted pinstripe. Certainly, quite the head-turner and really showcases what the Mulliner department can do when given the opportunity.
