The Reveal of the Revuelto Opera Unica at Esperienza Arte There’s no denying that in the current age of EVs and silence, a naturally aspirated V12 Lamborghini Revuelto is a spectacle to behold. Particularly when this 1015 horsepower monster is painted in a truly outlandish livery from the AD personam personalisation team, capturing the spirit of Lamborghini. And this weekend in Shanghai, that spirit stayed alive. At Lamborghini Esperienza Arte at U-TANK No.5, Shanghai rolled a very special Revuelto, called the Revuelto Opera Unica. This bold creation was designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile and the Ad Personam team specifically for the Chinese Market. The Ad Personam Program: Merging Aggression with Drama Lamborghinis are known for their drama and obsession with making an impact on the eye. The Revuelto Opera Unica certainly does this and we have the Ad Personam program to thank for that. This bespoke customisation program allows Lamborghini’s more affluent customers to make their already attention-grabbing supercar even more outlandish. With unlimited colours and materials available, they “foster the outstanding creativity” that’s defined Lamborghini, says Mitja Borkert. Nowhere is this more clearly seen than in the Revuelto Opera Unica Lambo’s CEO and Chairman, Stephan Winkelmann remarked that this particular Revuelto represents a “new paradigm” in supercar design. The design of the Opera Unica almost perfectly aligns with Lambo’s Direzione Cor Tauri strategy for electrification and sustainability as symbolised by the Taurus constellation. Exterior and Interior Craftsmanship: A Display of Crazed Brilliance The Lamborghini Revuelto is already one of the most outlandish and craziest supercars on sale and the Opera Unica Edition takes this craze to new peaks. This paint job truly enhances that “crazed” look-at-me styling a Lambo is known for The dynamic gradient paint took 480 hours to create, blending Rosso Mars, Arancio Dac, and Arancio Apodis, seamlessly fading into Nero Pegaso. In addition, the rear diffuser was painted in Rosso Efesto to enhance this car’s style. But just as striking as the exterior is this car’s boisterous interior. Inside we find a refined Nero Ade cabin enhanced with accents of Rosso Efesto and Corsatex by Dinamica. In addition, the carbon-crafted Opera Unica plate featured a shade of Rosso Efesto inscribed in Bianco Monocerus. It’s no surprise that this bespoke interior took 53 hours to complete. That’s 533 hours just in design alone for a car of which many would be made. Many would see this as a waste of time but remember, this is Lamborghini, a manufacturer known for taking their time to be different. And this livery, along with the car that carries it perfectly embodies that spirit. Why the Revuelto: Long continue the lunacy The supercar world has changed in the last decade. A majority today utilised turbocharged engines combined with electric motors. Even Lambo have gone down this route with both the Temerario and Urus SE, the latter was featured at the Lamborghini Esperienza Arte event. The Revuelto though, sticks to tradition, whilst it has three Electric motors onboard, they are all connected to a gargantuan and thirsty 6.5L naturally-aspirated V12. Now whilst it makes this car heavy and not quite as potent as a Ferrari SF90, it adds to the drama and soundtrack that all Lambos revel in. It is therefore a car that suits an outlandish livery as seen on the Opera Unica. These specialised details and crazed paintwork only add to the drama of this V12 Leviathan. A drama only captured by true Lambos. And drama that was showcased at the Esperienza Arte event. An event that truly celebrates Lambo’s outlandish nature and prowess.
