Unveiled at Monterey Car Week 2024, Lamborghini Temerario redefines versatility with 13 tailored driving experiences, offering enthusiasts a super sports car designed for both road and track. Highlighting its hybrid capabilities, the Temerario introduces three distinct driving modes—Recharge, Hybrid, and Performance—easily selectable through an upper-right rotary switch. Each mode is clearly displayed on a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, where animated graphics mirror the selector’s rotation. Max Control with Five Selectable ModesThe Temerario is built to adapt to a wide range of driving scenarios with five primary driving modes. The upper left, red-rimmed selector accesses Città, Strada, Sport, Corsa, and Corsa ESC Off modes, while pressing the ‘checkered flag’ button for two seconds activates Launch Control, allowing the car to achieve peak acceleration from a standstill. Driving Mode Breakdown Città Mode: Ideal for urban driving, Città offers a flexible setup with both electric-only (140 kW, 190 CV) and Recharge functions, where the V8 engine efficiently recharges the battery as needed. Strada Mode: This mode balances fuel efficiency with sporty performance for highway use, delivering up to 800 CV in Hybrid mode and 725 CV in Recharge mode. Active aerodynamics and front axle torque vectoring provide additional stability, especially at high speeds. Sport Mode: Designed for a dynamic driving experience, Sport mode reaches up to 920 CV in Recharge, Hybrid, and Performance settings, with intensified V8 acoustics. Enhanced gearbox responsiveness and suspension settings improve handling and agility, particularly during cornering. Corsa Mode: Focused on track performance, Corsa mode unleashes the full 920 CV, with hybrid and e-axle calibration fine-tuned for maximum power and precision. Here, the sound of the V8 reaches its highest intensity, offering an immersive, race-inspired experience. Drift Mode: Adding to the Temerario’s versatility, Drift Mode allows controlled oversteer with three levels of yaw angle, from beginner-friendly settings to more advanced configurations for expert drivers. You can activate this mode via the lower right rotary switch. Chief Technical Officer at Automobili Lamborghini Rouven Mohr says: “Temerario offers an innovative and emotional driving experience at the same time. The e-4WD system combined with real torque vectoring is the perfect combination. On the one hand, we have a car that is absolutely precise and effective on the track, while on the other, we have a more typically rear-wheel drive character, oriented toward maximum driver engagement.” What We Know So Far About TemerarioAs Lamborghini’s 2025 replacement for the Huracán, the Temerario brings extensive customization options to the lineup. Though pricing details are not yet confirmed, the expected range starts around $290,000 and may exceed $350,000 with full options. Buyers can select from cast, forged, or carbon wheels and enhance the exterior with carbon-fiber elements. The Alleggerita package offers a 55-pound weight reduction through carbon fiber additions to the splitter, underbody panels, side skirts, and interior door panels, which can be paired with an optional titanium muffler and carbon wheels for further agility. Lamborghini promises more than 400 color options, with Blu Marinus and Verde Mercurius available at launch. Powering the Temerario is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 paired with a flat-plane crankshaft and three axial-flux electric motors, producing a combined 907 horsepower. The V-8 alone delivers 789 horsepower, while the electric motors add instant torque and elevate maximum output to 590 lb-ft. One motor mounts to the V-8 ahead of the transmission, while two front-mounted motors independently drive the front wheels, enhancing responsiveness and power delivery across the full rpm range.
