These bespoke creations are the result of a unique request from two Porsche 935 owners. They wanted their track-spec racecars transformed into road-legal versions. Lanzante stepped up to the challenge. They took 18 months to develop and build these magnificent road-legal racecars. Lanzante has endowed these cars with several upgrades. These include a unique suspension setup and upgraded brakes. The cars are also outfitted with a hand brake and a new set of wheels. As part of the road conversion, the 935s also get new headlamps. Lanzante has integrated them without disrupting the car's inherent design language. Furthermore, they tailor-made the electronics to operate all the added components with efficiency. As for the exterior design, the two examples come finished in different themes. One dons a contemporary reimagination of the Martini livery. The other one flaunts the red/white Marlboro Chevron design. Both the cars look breathtaking from every corner and angle. What Is The Porsche 935? The original Porsche 935 was a factory racecar introduced in 1976. The very first Porsche 911 Turbo (930 generation) served as its foundation. Porsche produced three iterations of the 935 over the course of three years. These cars came suffixed with the model years they belonged to. Among the three, the last and final 935/78 was the most iconic. Its white color theme and long-tail shape earned it the nickname Moby Dick. The second-generation Porsche 935 is the car in discussion here. It is the race-ready version of the 991 generation Porsche 911 GT2 RS. The new Porsche 935 was first unveiled in 2018, at the 6th Rennsport Reunion. It debuted later on, in 2019. The new Porsche 935 was a tribute to the 935/8 Moby Dick, flaunting similar bodywork. Powering the 935 is the same 700-hp twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter flat-6 motor of the GT2 RS. Only 77 examples of the new 935 were ever made. Out of these few cars, only two have received the road-legal treatment. Who Are Lanzante? Lanzante is a British automotive company. They specialize in servicing, restoring, and developing unique vehicles. The brand also has a history in motorsports. Lanzante Motorsport won a 24 Hours of Le Mans with a McLaren F1 GTR. This led them to become a service center for Mclarens of all kinds. Lanzante has a rich history of creating bespoke, limited-edition variants of several supercars. They had also earlier built a 930 Porsche 911 powered by a 1.5-liter Formula One V6 TAG-Porsche engine. These road-legal Porsche 935 models are the latest addition to Lanzante's varied portfolio.
