This is like giving a toddler a flamethrower and seeing what happens. The standard M2 was already a bit of a handful - a car that proved size isn't everything, despite what the marketing department might tell you. We're talking about 525 horsepower from the twin-turbo straight-six. That's 22 more horses than the M4 Competition, which is a bit like the family chihuahua suddenly developing more bite force than the resident Rottweiler. The rear gets a lip spoiler and a different diffuser package, presumably to help keep all that power pointed in vaguely the right direction. BMW's engineers are apparently on a mission to make the CS version lighter than the standard car. It's the automotive equivalent of sending someone to fat camp, except this one comes back with more muscles and a nasty attitude. That's right - the CS will only come with an eight-speed automatic. BMW probably figured that with 525 horsepower going through the rear wheels, most drivers will have enough on their plate without having to worry about which gear they're in.
