Porsche fans in the U.S. now have a chance to get even more performance from their cars. Manthey Kits are finally available across the country. Downforce Without the Drag Porsche’s Manthey Kit for the 911 GT3 RS is all about aerodynamics and precision. Designed to push the limits of what this already track-focused car can do, the kit introduces thoughtful changes that enhance performance without compromising balance. The most noticeable upgrade is the larger front lip, reinforced with carbon fiber and reprofiled for greater efficiency. Alongside this are revised Gurney flaps on the front wheel arches and dive planes flanking the front fascia. These elements work together to increase front axle downforce, giving the car sharper handling at high speeds. The rear of the car is just as striking. A split DRS wing, now with larger endplates, enhances rear downforce. Beneath it, a widened rear diffuser with extended carbon fiber strakes ensures stability without adding drag. Even the rear glass has been swapped for a carbon fiber panel, cutting weight by 25% and incorporating a shark fin inspired by Porsche’s World Endurance Championship-winning 963. This feature improves cornering stability and directs hot air away from the engine bay, which is further optimized by six additional roof fins. Altogether, these upgrades result in a 20% boost in downforce, with the car generating an incredible 2,200 pounds of it at 177 mph. Suspension Upgrades and Control The suspension gets a serious upgrade to manage the extra downforce. The coilover springs are stiffer—30% at the front and 15% at the rear—keeping the car planted in high-speed corners. It’s not just about stiffness. The system uses smart sensors to monitor the car’s movement in real time. A new control unit adjusts the dampers almost instantly, adapting to changing conditions with precision. And in Track mode, you can fine-tune the setup from the steering wheel. That’s real-time customization for serious drivers. The brakes get some love too. Customization that Counts For those who like to personalize their cars, there are plenty of options. Illuminated carbon fiber door sills with Manthey lettering, decals for the doors, and customizable aero disc accents let you stand out. A towing eye, offered in red, black, or yellow, adds a functional track-day touch. The performance upgrades take things to another level. Lightweight magnesium wheels save about 25 pounds and come in five finishes, including Brilliant Silver and White Gold Metallic. The wheels measure 20 inches up front and 21 inches at the rear. Manthey Kits and Their Price TagsThe Manthey Kit for the 911 GT3 RS is all about squeezing every bit of performance out of an already capable car. Porsche hasn’t run an official Nürburgring lap with the kit yet, but expectations are high. The standard GT3 RS managed a 6:49.32, so a few seconds less that time seems likely. For those with a soft spot for raw power, the Manthey Kit for the 991 GT2 RS adds its own flavour. While it doesn’t match the GT3 RS kit in downforce, the GT2 RS makes up for it with over 700 horsepower. On the straights, that extra grunt more than speaks for itself. Both kits share a focus on aero and suspension upgrades. They’re developed with the same engineers from Weissach who work on Porsche’s race cars. The kits are available now through 45 Manthey-certified Porsche Centers across the U.S., with delivery starting in Spring 2025.
