Of course, the biggest update is that the 911 has received a hybrid system. And of course, the 2024 911 Carrera GTS is 100% street-legal. The new 911 Hybrid SystemThe T-Hybrid system combines a powerful combustion engine with two electric motors and a lightweight battery pack. This will be the first time any 911 comes with a hybrid powertrain.The main components are as follows. New 3.6L twin-turbo boxer engine (357 kW/485 hp) Electric exhaust gas turbocharger with integrated motorPermanent magnet synchronous electric motor in 8-speed PDK transmission (40 kW boost)Compact 1.9 kWh lithium-ion high-voltage battery The electric turbocharger eliminates turbo lag, while the transmission-mounted motor provides supplementary torque and power on demand.
