The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 now delivers 760 PS (749 hp) and 980 Nm (723 lb-ft) of torque, a solid jump from the stock model. That’s the kind of output you’d expect from an exotic, not a 2.4-tonne SUV. There’s no official word on acceleration, but a factory RS Q8 does 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds. With this much extra muscle, the RSQ8-LE should cut a few tenths off that time. And with nearly four-figure torque, it’s relentless. The sound is getting an upgrade too. A stainless steel exhaust with four 105 mm tailpipes should make sure this Audi doesn’t go unnoticed. The standard RS Q8 already has a deep, aggressive tone, and ABT’s tweaks will likely turn that up even further. All that power needs control, so ABT has reworked the air suspension with its Level Control system.
