Horacio Pagani is one of the greatest automotive artists to walk on the face of the Earth. His creations have always amazed us, and the Pagani Utopia Roadster is the latest. It is essentially identical to its coupe counterpart. Because the Utopia was designed as both a coupe and a roadster, this magnificent V12 hypercar is now even more desirable, if that's even possible. The Pagani Utopia Roadster offers multiple roof options. There is a see-through hard-top convertible roof as well as a removable soft-top. They can be swapped according to the owner's taste and preference. Powering the Pagani Utopia Roadster is the same Mercedes-AMG-sourced 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12. It outputs the identical 852 horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque, just as its coupe counterpart. A 7-speed manual or automatic is the transmission choice, and the top speed is limited to 217 mph. Also, the standard is the choice between Pirelli P Zero Corsa and P Zero winter tires. Superior Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS ultra-high-performance rubber is an available option. Another impressive feat of engineering achieved by Pagani is in weight management. Usually, the convertible version of a car gains a bit of weight due to the retracting roof mechanism. But the Pagani Utopia Roadster is different. Pagani extensively reworked the carbon-fiber-titanium monocoque chassis of the Utopia. Hence, the Utopia Roadster's weight remains identical to the coupe. The car weighs 2,822 lbs (1,280 kg) which is “super leggero”. As expected, customization options are practically unlimited. Customers can paint their Utopias in any color. They can choose to brandish or conceal the carbon fiber undertone of the body. There are also numerous custom leather upholstery and luggage options. Now, about pricing and availability. Only 130 units of the Pagani Utopia Roadster will ever be made. Each of these will cost around $3.4 million. Source: Pagani, Top Gear, Car and Driver
