The explosive, energetic, and engaging luxury SUV is going all-electric. As depressing as it sounds, we know it was bound to happen. Porsche has now confirmed that the fourth-generation Cayenne would be all-electric. The Premium Platform Electric (PPE) 800-volt architecture will underpin the Porsche Cayenne EV. New images released by Porsche reveal a significantly different design language and bodywork. Porsche Cayenne EV: Powertrain And Performance The Porsche Cayenne EV is expected to be propelled by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain. The Macan EV based on the PPE platform is already available in the market. Porsche created the Macan EV, without compromising its fun-to-drive nature. The little Porsche electric SUV received applause from critics around the globe. The range-topping Macan EV Turbo produces 630 horsepower. The upcoming Cayenne EV is sure to raise this bar. The current generation 2025 Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid puts out a healthy 729 hp. However, the fastest Cayenne on the market now is the 650-hp 2025 Porsche Cayenne GT. The Turbo E-Hybrid can hit 60 mph in 3.0 seconds, while the Turbo GT achieves the same feat in 2.8. The upcoming Porsche Cayenne EV would hopefully top these figures. We expect the all-electric range-topping Turbo variant to produce around 800 horsepower. Porsche Cayenne EV: Pricing And Release Date Outside, the Cayenne EV test mules look very different from the current Cayenne. Porsche hasn't revealed the interior yet. However, we don't expect it to be considerably different. Because the Cayenne models were recently updated. We anticipate only minor changes. This is unless Porsche decides to go full-on tech-savvy. Porsche has not yet confirmed the release date of the all-electric Cayenne. However, they have assured that the current-gen Cayenne will be sold alongside it. As for pricing, we expect the upcoming Cayenne EV to start at around $110,000 for the base variant. Source: Porsche, Top Gear
