Since its opening in August 2024, this space has become a vibrant hub for car lovers, art fans, and design enthusiasts. It combines a bar, café, art gallery, and hangout spot—all under one roof. This unique venue is the brainchild of Curves magazine’s Stefan Bogner and entrepreneur Chanond Ruangkritya. It’s supported by Porsche Asia Pacific and Porsche Thailand. Curvistan is also closely tied to the Porsche Design Tower, which will soon rise just a short walk away. With this latest showcase, it’s ready to celebrate the holiday season in style. Visitors can now explore Porsche’s most innovative and unseen design concepts. Michael Mauer’s Designs Make Their Thailand DebutMichael Mauer has led Porsche’s design vision for 20 years. As Vice President Style Porsche, he has created bold and innovative concept cars. Now, for the first time, a collection of these "Unseen" projects is on display in Thailand. A highlight of the exhibit is the Porsche Vision Spyder. This concept car is a modern take on the classic 550 Spyder (famous for its lightweight design and success on the race track). The 550 Spyder famously won the 1954 Carrera Panamericana with Hans Hermann behind the wheel. The Vision Spyder carries the spirit of its predecessor. It features a simple, spartan cockpit and a flat radiator grille above the mid-mounted engine. Bold red racing stripes and sleek fins at the rear complete its design. These elements combine retro charm with modern innovation, reflecting Mauer’s creative approach. This exhibit offers a rare chance to see how Mauer and his team bring Porsche’s heritage into the future. Every detail tells a story of precision, innovation, and timeless design. Bold Concepts and Southeast Asian EleganceVisitors can explore 1:3 scale models of exciting concepts that highlight Porsche’s creativity. The Macan Vision Safari turns the SUV into an overland adventure vehicle. It combines rugged functionality with Porsche’s sleek design language. For fans of speed, the Vision 918 RS and Vision 920 reimagine hypercar performance with cutting-edge engineering. Racing enthusiasts will appreciate the Vision E, a bold take on what a Formula E car could look like if made for private customers. The star of the show is the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade, making its debut in Thailand later this December. Created through Porsche’s Sonderwunsch programme, this one-of-a-kind electric car pays tribute to Southeast Asia. Its Chromaflair paint shifts colors with the light, creating a stunning visual effect. This detail reflects Porsche’s ability to blend art with innovative engineering. Stefan Bogner, the curator of the exhibition, shared his excitement. “We hope design fans, Porsche fans, and car enthusiasts in Thailand and beyond make Curvistan a bookmark on their next trip to Bangkok,” he said.
