Even with the movies straying from realism, cars remain the main focus. Each movie has one halo car, a vehicle that steals the show, think Toyota Supra Mk IV or Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 that are so famous. We're counting down the quickest car from each Fast And Furious movie, from the first all the way to the tenth installment. For this ranking, we're considering only the zero to sixty times of stock models these cars are based on. Any modified cars, like the Pontiac Fiero with rockets attached, are excluded. Likewise, the famous Lykan Hypersport isn't mentioned due to unreliable zero to sixty times. The RX-7 FD appeared in the third installment, Tokyo Drift, and is one of the more recognizable vehicles of the franchise. Driven by Han Seoul-Oh, the RX-7 is most notable for its many scenes sliding through narrow Tokyo streets, defeating other racers, and looking brilliant while doing it. Although it's one of the slower cars to sixty on our list, with a 5.1-second time, this hasn't stopped the RX-7 from becoming a JDM icon and one of the first cars people think of when they think Tokyo Drift. The 1.3-liter rotary engine produces 276 horsepower and 231 pound-feet through a five-speed manual to the rear wheels. Top speed is limited to 155 mph. 9. 1994 Toyota Supra Mk IV (The Fast And The Furious): 4.8 seconds The 1994 Toyota Supra might be the most recognizable car from the Fast And Furious franchise. It's on the cover of the original DVD, it's what you think about when someone says "the Fast and the Furious." Driven by Brian O'Connor, the late Paul Walker, the Mk IV Supra was one of the first cars to appear on screen with its now recognizable orange and green paint job. This franchise solidified the vehicle as the JDM icon we see today. With a 4.8-second zero to sixty time, the Mk IV Supra is still fast by today's standards, and although there's been a whole new generation of Supra since its demise in 2002, there's simply no replacement for the Mk IV in pop culture. The 3.0-liter straight-six produces 325 horsepower and 325 pound-feet, available with five-speed or six-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmissions. 8. 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 (Fast & Furious): 4.8 seconds Once again driven by Brian O'Connor, the 2002 Nissan Skyline R34 is a vehicle that needs no introduction, as it's one of the most iconic Fast And Furious cars. What was once a darling of the Japanese sports car world has since become one of the most expensive cars of the 1990s, with imported models selling at auction for over $700,000. This is in no small part because of the film franchise, which helped give a popularity boost due to its screen time. With a 4.8-second zero to sixty time and 276 horsepower from its 2.6-liter straight-six, the R34 Skyline was extremely quick for its time, making it perfect for the fourth movie. The six-speed manual and all-wheel drive system help deploy the 260 pound-feet of torque, with top speed limited to 155 mph. 7. 2010 BMW M5 E60 (Furious 6): 4.1 seconds The E60 BMW M5 is notable for being the M5 that broke the streak of straight-sixes and V8s by having a 5.0-liter V10. Dominic Toretto and his crew used the E60 M5 throughout the sixth film, most notably in multiple chase scenes where they follow gang members throughout the UK. This climaxes in a scene where a bunch of E60 M5s chase Owen Shaw out of Interpol Headquarters while typical explosions and hijinks occur. If we're going on a chase scene through one of Europe's largest cities, we'd happily do it in a 4.1-second zero to sixty V10 BMW as well. The 5.0-liter V10 produces 500 horsepower and 384 pound-feet through either six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic to the rear wheels. Top speed is limited to 155 mph because Germans are sensible like that. 6. 2003 Dodge Viper SRT-10 (2 Fast 2 Furious): 3.8 seconds Although having a later and greater appearance in Tokyo Drift, the 2003 Dodge Viper SRT-10 is still one of the fastest cars put on the movie's screen. With a massive 8.3-liter V10, the Dodge Viper SRT-10 was one of the most powerful American cars ever built with over 500 horsepower. Because of that, this US missile could rocket to sixty in less than four seconds. While the Viper line was discontinued in 2019, movies like The Fast And The Furious help keep the legacy of one of America's greatest sports cars alive for years to come. The 510 horsepower and 535 pound-feet push through a six-speed manual to the rear wheels, reaching a proper 190 mph top speed. 5. 2006 Koenigsegg CCXR (Fast Five): 3.2 seconds While the Koenigsegg CCXR might not be the quickest car on our list, it's certainly the fastest. With a top speed reportedly of 250 mph, this car blows everything else on our list out of the water at sheer top-end speed. Driven by Roman Pierce, a close and longtime friend of Brian O'Connor, the CCXR is one of the more left-field cars due to how it's powered. Despite having the same engine as the regular CCX, the CCXR was made to run on ethanol fuel. This means the CCXR makes 1,018 horsepower and over 700 pound-feet of torque from its 4.7-liter V8, truly insane numbers from a car in a truly insane movie. Available with six-speed manual or automated manual, rear-wheel drive only. 4. 2018 Noble M600 (F9): 3.0 seconds The Noble M600 is another one of those cars on our list that seems out of place. However, given the context of the movie, it makes sense. The M600 was driven by Magdalene Shaw, a woman Dominic Toretto must hunt down for information about his brother. What makes the M600 so special really has nothing to do with the movie, it has everything to do with the car itself. It's powered by a 4.4-liter V8 co-developed by Yamaha and Volvo, giving the M600 650 horsepower and a claimed top speed of over 220 mph, as well as a 3.0-second zero to sixty time. Not bad for a supercar driven by an old lady. The 604 pound-feet routes through either six-speed manual or semi-automatic to the rear wheels. 3. 2012 Nissan R35 GT-R (Furious 7): 2.9 seconds The Nissan R35 GT-R is, like its predecessor the R34, a legend in both the car community and the F&F world. With a 2.9-second zero to sixty time, the GT-R is one of the quickest cars on our list, and only one of three to break below three seconds at all. Driven by Brian O'Connor, this R35 is painted and modified to be an homage to the R34 of previous movies, a smart move given how iconic that vehicle was. The 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 produces 542 horsepower and 448 pound-feet through a six-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive. Top speed reaches 196 mph. Spoiler alert: we're sad to see it get destroyed at the end of Furious 7. 2. 2017 McLaren 720S (Fast X): 2.8 seconds The McLaren 720S appears in multiple films, first in Hobbs & Shaw, then reappearing in Fast X. Driven by Jason Statham's character Deckard Shaw, the 720S is one of McLaren's modern supercars used throughout multiple chase scenes and getaways. Powered by a 4.0-liter V8 making over 700 horsepower, the 720S is a solid modern supercar that helps age The Fast And The Furious franchise, as we've seen halo cars go from older tuner models to modern flashy supercars with high price tags. The 710 horsepower and 570 pound-feet route through a seven-speed automatic to the rear wheels, reaching 212 mph top speed. 1. 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon (The Fate Of The Furious): 1.66 seconds The Fate of the Furious spawned the number one single See You Again and was the last movie Paul Walker starred in. But the legendary Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, with its 1.66-second zero to sixty time, takes the top spot as the quickest vehicle on our list. Saying the Demon is the quickest almost feels like cheating, though, as the sub-1.7-second time is only available on drag strips with special tires. The zero to sixty for most people hovers in the mid-three-second range. Still fast, but not the top-end numbers that made the Demon so famous. The 6.2-liter supercharged V8 produces 840 horsepower and 770 pound-feet through a six-speed manual to the rear wheels. Top speed is limited to 168 mph, because drag cars don't need top speed when you're only going a quarter mile at a time. So there we have it.
