The top-spec race exhaust includes power-optimized flaps, an X-pipe, sport metal catalytic converters, and specially designed stainless steel tips. The result is a sound that makes you forget you're looking at something with four doors and a raised ride height. Speaking of ride height, Novitec's sports springs lower the car by 2-3 centimeters, which might seem counterintuitive for an SUV. But then again, this is a Ferrari SUV - the only off-roading it's likely to see is mounting a Monaco curb outside Casino Square. The lower stance is said to improve stability and handling, making the Purosangue even more sports car-like. For those who want to complete the look, Novitec offers three different forged wheel designs - the NF9, NF10, and NF11. These are the same wheels they offer for other Ferrari models, which tells you everything about how they view the Purosangue: not as an SUV, but as a Ferrari that happens to be a bit taller. And if Novitec's relatively subtle approach isn't extreme enough, there's always Mansory's "Pugnator" version - though that's a bit like thinking your Ferrari needs to look more like a Hot Wheels car. The Novitec Purosangue represents something interesting in the automotive world - the point where compromise meets purity. Ferrari built an SUV but refused to call it one. Novitec has modified it but kept it distinctly Ferrari. And somehow, the end result might be even more Ferrari than what came out of Maranello.
