Ferrari Purosangue

The Ferrari Purosangue represents a historic evolution for Ferrari as its first-ever four-door, four-seater model. Marrying the thrill of a Ferrari sports car with the utility of an SUV, the Purosangue maintains the brand’s iconic performance DNA while delivering comfort and spaciousness like never before. Named “Purosangue,” Italian for “thoroughbred,” this model celebrates Ferrari’s 75 years of innovation, blending exhilarating performance with practicality in a way that sets a new standard.

Under the hood, the Purosangue houses an impressive 6.5L V-12 naturally aspirated engine that produces 715 horsepower and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This combination allows the Purosangue to go from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed over 310 km/h. These specifications make it one of the most powerful vehicles in its segment, with remarkable speed and handling despite its SUV proportions.

A significant focus in the Purosangue’s design is aerodynamics, with Ferrari engineers achieving unprecedented efficiency. The aero development focused on optimizing the bodywork, underbody, and rear diffuser to improve airflow and reduce drag. An innovative feature is the synergy between the front bumper and wheel arch trim, which creates an “air curtain” around the front wheels. This air curtain aerodynamically seals the front wheels, effectively preventing turbulent air from moving transversely across the body, thus improving stability at high speeds and enhancing fuel efficiency. This meticulous attention to aerodynamic detail underscores Ferrari’s dedication to performance and handling.
